What the numbers measure
The red blood cell (RBC) assay compares cell lysis with protein denaturation. Its unitless L/D ratio is an ingredient-screening measure of mildness. It is not a skin hydration score or a measure of how many times a body wash is gentler.

These selected ingredients appear in the same Evonik chart. The original uses a logarithmic scale and broken bars at the high end; we show conservative bounds and an approximate reading rather than imply exact raw data. Other ingredients also appear in the full chart.
What this means for JIN
The results help explain our interest in rhamnolipid cleansing. A finished product’s mildness depends on the complete formula, ingredient concentrations and use conditions. This is supplier-authored evidence, not an independent clinical trial of JIN.
